You Oughta Know

We here at CindyModel sort of have our own way of talking and looking at things. It's an attitude. It's a way of life. Some things can only be said in a certain way and convey the meaning of a mutual experience.

In Love Story, it was, “Loving someone means never having to say you’re sorry."  A bit sticky.

In Terminator, Arnold said, “I’ll be back.” It had this ominous resonance.

There was a fantastic movie called Putney Swope. The key line I remember was, “Just don’t send me the laundry bill.” A great line.

In Angel Heart, Louis Cypher said, “The future’s not what it used to be.” One of my all time favorites.

If someone sneezes or coughs violently one could politely ask, “Did you get any on you?”

But, here at CindyModel, where the real world gives way to the hills and pastures of long-forgotten Arcadia, it’s “You know who you are, so go for it.” It works in any number of situations. The significance is deep and mysterious.
