The Angie Fund
Cindy's favorite cause.

Not too long ago we here at CindyModel.com were grief-stricken to learn of death of Angela Harrison, whom we knew affectionately as Angie. She was 15 years old when she passed away.
She was a great fan of Cindy and did much research for us as well as graphics for Cindy's group site. She was at every video chat and wrote beautiful poetry and prose about Cindy. No matter what we did, we always hoped out loud that Angie would be there.

Angie is love.

I had numerous conversations with Angie through the chats and emails.
Knowing she lived on the west coast and that we would be there this summer, I proposed that we would some how meet up so that Angie could meet Cindy in person. Angela cared so much for Cindy that she didn't want to burden her with the fate she knew was soon at hand, a fate that would make it impossible for this dream of personally meeting Cindy to come true. She didn't want to bum Cindy out so she said that her father mistrusted Internet people and therefore that meeting would not be possible, hiding the true reasons from us to protect us. As we have learned, her father (actually her foster father)
surely would have condoned that meeting, if that were Angie's wish. Angie's foster father, who in spirit has more than earned the simple title of "father" had, in fact been suspicious of people who did their thing on the net. But after all the outpouring of love and care for Angie upon her death from all over the world, he has changed his mind. For security reasons, I can not use his actual name, but our hat's off to him as well.
I was a close Internet friend of Angie. Out of respect for her I will not
delve into the circumstances of her death. I know that she spent a lot of time
educating others on how to spot and/or prevent potential child abuse. This was a major
cause and concern of  Angie.  This is what the Angie Fund is about.
